Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This privacy policy explains how El Sueldo Neto (https://elsueldoneto.es) handles your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation EU 2016/679) and the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

1. Data Controller

The data controller is the entity that determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data, in accordance with Article 4(7) of the GDPR.

2. Data Protection Officer

Given the nature of the website and the absence of large-scale processing of personal data, the appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) is not legally required under Article 37 of the GDPR. Should processing circumstances change, the controller will appoint a DPO and publish the relevant contact details.

3. What Data We Collect

El Sueldo Neto does not collect identifiable personal data. Our salary calculator tools process all calculations directly in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The data you enter (gross salary, family situation, autonomous community, contract type and all other parameters) is never sent to any server, never stored in any database, and is not accessible to us or to third parties.

The technical architecture of the website is designed according to the principle of "privacy by design" in accordance with Article 25 of the GDPR. For clarity, the website does not collect or process the following categories of data:

  • Identification data: name, surname, DNI/NIE, address
  • Contact data: email address, phone number (unless voluntarily provided by email)
  • Financial data: bank details, specific salary amounts
  • Browsing data: tracking cookies, unique device identifiers

4. Web Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly web analytics service that uses no cookies, stores no personal data, does not store IP addresses, does not use fingerprinting, does not track users across sessions or websites, and is fully GDPR-compliant without requiring consent. Plausible processes all data on servers within the European Union.

Plausible collects exclusively aggregated and anonymous data such as pages visited, traffic sources, countries of origin, device types and browsers. This data cannot be used to identify individual visitors. For more information: https://plausible.io/data-policy.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Since no identifiable personal data is processed, it is not necessary to identify a specific legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR. For the anonymous statistical data collected by Plausible Analytics, the applicable legal basis is the legitimate interest of the controller (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Your Rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR and the LOPDGDD, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15): obtain confirmation of whether personal data is being processed and access to that data.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16): obtain correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17, "right to be forgotten"): obtain deletion of personal data.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18): restrict processing in certain cases.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20): receive data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21): object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)): withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77): lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.

Since the website does not collect personal data, these rights are currently not applicable in practice. For any enquiry, contact us at contact@elsueldoneto.es. We undertake to respond within 30 days as required by Article 12 of the GDPR.

7. Data Retention

Since no personal data is stored, no specific retention period applies. The aggregated statistical data from Plausible Analytics is retained for the duration necessary for website traffic analysis. As this data is anonymous, it falls outside the scope of GDPR provisions on personal data retention.

8. Data Transfer Outside the EU

No personal data is transferred outside the European Union. Plausible Analytics processes all data on servers within the EU. Should it become necessary to use services outside the EU, the controller will ensure compliance with Chapter V of the GDPR.

9. Data Security

Our website is served over a secure HTTPS connection that encrypts all data in transit. Appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented in accordance with Article 32 of the GDPR to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk.
